KIT im Rathaus 2025 | Perspektiven des Mobilitätswandels

The KIT Mobility Systems Centre is pleased to reflect on a highly successful participation in the “KIT im Rathaus” event. This opportunity allowed us to present our latest research findings to a broad audience and engage in lively dialogue with interested citizens. Our special thanks go to the FORUM team for their excellent organization and support.
Our carefully prepared program under the motto “Perspektiven des Mobilitätswandels” was very well received. The series of lectures, which highlighted various aspects of future mobility and showcased innovative solutions to the challenges of mobility transformation, attracted great interest. Following the welcome addresses by Dr. Albert Käuflein, Mayor of the City of Karlsruhe, and Prof. Dr. Oliver Kraft, Vice President Research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Prof. Dr. Eric Sax and Prof. Dr. Ina Schaefer, scientific spokespersons of the KIT Mobility Systems Centre, provided insights into the research conducted within the centre.
Particularly noteworthy were the lectures by:
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. Albert Albers, Scientific Spokesperson of the KIT Center for Mobility Systems and Head of the Institute for Product Development (IPEK): " Systeminnovation als Basis des Mobilitätswandels"
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Vortisch, Head of the Institute for Transport Studies (IfV): "Verkehrswissenschaft und Verkehrspolitik – ziehen wir am gleichen Strang?"
- Prof. Dr. Caroline Kramer, Chair of Human Geography, Institute of Geography and Geoecology (IFGG): Die mobile Gesellschaft – zwischen Home Office und Multilokalität
The subsequent exhibition, which took place from February 3 to February 6, 2025, offered further opportunities for exchange and deepening of the presented topics.
We thank all participants for their interest and active participation - we are already looking forward to the next event and to presenting our research and innovations once again.
